Fieldwork / 03

Built for reality. Proven in the field.

Fieldwork is the proof: real environments, real constraints and technology that had to work outside the diagram.

Rocky Mountain Gaming

Rocky Mountain Gaming · Cripple Creek, Colorado · 2024

Modernizing while the business keeps moving.

Security, infrastructure, policy, gaming systems and decades of technical debt rarely arrive as separate projects.

The engagement spanned two operating casino properties and touched the technology stack from compliance preparation to core infrastructure. Work included Section 6 audit preparation, backup and restore improvements, cyber-insurance review, policy development, RAMP log correction, QCI deployment, Meraki corrections and major systems modernization.

The environment also included ATI Loyalty deployment across nine RHEL and eight Windows systems, replacement of Windows Server 2003 domain controllers through a staged 2008 R2 transition, and SQL replication infrastructure.

Baby Doe's Casino and Saloon

Baby Doe's Casino & Saloon · Central City, Colorado · 2025

Designing technology before the walls exist.

A ground-up property asks different questions: where should technology live, how should it connect, and what must be decided before construction makes the decision permanent?

TwinAx worked on the technology design for the planned Baby Doe's Casino & Saloon, including MDF/IDF placement, fiber backbones, surveillance planning, gaming-system selection, Toast POS and the technical implications of a rooftop deck and historic-building constraints.

INTERIOR / SYSTEM PLANNING

The project was cancelled before construction because of funding, but the engagement remains part of TwinAx Fieldwork because the engineering work was real: requirements, design decisions and on-site coordination had already begun.

Different environments.

Different constraints.

The problem determines the engineering.
