The Laboratory
Sometimes “I wonder if we could…” is enough reason to start.
Not every TwinAx project begins with a customer, a market or a business case. The Laboratory is where we prototype, repurpose hardware, learn unfamiliar technologies and explore ideas simply because they're interesting.
Some experiments remain experiments. Some become useful internal tools. Some fail and teach us something. And occasionally, after enough learning and refinement, one earns its way into TwinAx Solutions.
All of those outcomes are valid.
Experiment / HAB-1
Go high. Take great pictures. Collect interesting telemetry. Come home.
HAB-1 is a high-altitude balloon project targeting approximately 100,000 feet. The project combines imaging, telemetry, tracking, environmental constraints, lightweight computing and recovery planning into one deliberately ambitious research mission.
Areas of exploration
Not every area of interest is a formal project. These are technologies we continue to investigate, learn and experiment with as opportunities arise.
Edge AI
Exploring NVIDIA Jetson-class systems for local AI workloads where data stays on-premises and inference happens close to the source.
ExplorationDrones
Autonomous platforms combine networking, imaging, sensors, telemetry and edge compute in an unusually interesting package.
Area of interestEmbedded systems
Linux, Raspberry Pi, sensors, telemetry and purpose-built appliances are fertile ground for prototypes that don't need a rack full of hardware.
OngoingSome ideas become products.
Some become tools.
Some are worth doing simply because we want to know.
